Welcome to BraverEquine! This is an accessible, peer-oriented initiative, focused on exploring self-determination in collaboration with horses. We seek to explore themes relating to how learners learn, reconciling struggle and trauma, and movement optimism.
Based in Alberta, Canada, BraverEquine offers connection for the reconciling equestrian, as well as those seeking to be introduced to horses. PLAY AND EXPLORE MOVEMENT WITH HORSES in a unique and authentic experience at RustField Farm - or join us online in various forms of learning-focused engagement. BraverEquine is especially for fans of positive-reinforcement training, Intrinzen, and autonomy-honouring relationships with horses - but anyone who loves horses and loves adventure is welcome!
2SLGBTQI+ and neurodiversity inclusive. Limited disability access on-site - please inquire with any questions or concerns.

BraverEquine adheres to the following...
Support basic psychological needs - autonomy, competency, and relatedness - for self-determination in every individual.
No poisonous pedagogy. No assumption of, or appeal to authority. No, "I suffered, so they should too." Halt the cycle of trauma in environments intended for learning.
Ethical restraints as a last resort, only for safety or necessary management of wellbeing. The least invasive, minimally aversive option is considered first, to the best of the practicing individual's knowledge and resources.
All participation with BraverEquine is available at no cost - however, you are welcome to offer a contribution to the care of RustField's herd. Click here to learn more!
